The 16th Annual New York Turkish Film Festival presented by The American Turkish Society, takes place Thursday, November 30th — Sunday, December 3rd at the SVA Theatre in Chelsea.
Sponsored by the Turkey-America Business Council (TAIK) and RAMERICA, the festival will screen eight films kicking off with the multi-award winning film, Cold of Kalandar.
Other films in the lineup will include Sleep of Love, My Father’s Wings, short films Little Bullets and The Exhibit, Frenzy and Blue. Additionally, for the first time they will screen a movie in the horror category entitled Housewife, which recently received acclaim in the second annual Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
The screenings will be followed by a selection of Q&A’s with some of the actors and directors including Cold of Kalandar’s Director Mustafa Kara and Producer Nermin Aytekin, Sleep of Love’s Alican Yucesoy and Peyman Umay, The Exhibit’s Director and Actor Pinar Ogun, Little Bullets’ Director Alphan Eseli and Blue’s Director Sertan Unver and Producer Suzan Guverte.
