Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski along with MSNBC put together an ultra-fabulous women empowerment summit KNOW YOUR VALUE at The Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Whether you were looking for inspiration, a new gig, or a reminder of your skills and value, the refreshingly outspoken, funny and smart MSNBC political journalist and TV host provided it all with a star-studded lineup of speakers, workshops, interactive panels and trainings designed to empower women in their personal and professional lives.

The annual event inspired by Brzezinski’s New York Times best-selling book Knowing Your Value, a nationwide movement  founded in 2014, designed to create and support an empowered community that helps women recognize, and be recognized for, their personal and professional value by developing and inspiring their individual growth.

Successful women and female leaders from across industries offered priceless bits of knowledge, including Sarah Jessica Parker, actress and businesswoman; Martha Stewart, Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Emmy Award-winning television show host; Jane Pauley, anchor of “CBS Sunday Morning“; Bobbi Brown, founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics; Laura Brown, editor-in-chief of InStyle; Katty Kay, anchor of BBC News’ “Beyond 100 Days”; Tracy Anderson, health and wellness expert and creator of the Tracy Anderson Method; Carla Harris, Vice Chairman of Wealth Management and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley; and Daniela Pierre-Bravo, KYV365 Millennial Ambassador.

Mika spoke of her own rock bottom experience after being let go of CBS where she spent 11 years, and had to “dig deep” and start all over again as a mother with two kids, while her fiancé Joe Scarborough introduced Sarah Jessica Parker and reminded everyone that the superstar actress and business woman came from her own humble beginnings before hitting it big. Said Parker; “Don’t let somebody else’s opinion of you be your opinion of you.”

A musical highlight was Scarborough’s two amazingly talented back-up singers Roz Brown and Tanesha Gary who brought the A + entertainment singing everything from Alicia Keys smash ‘Girl on Fire’ and Pat Benatar‘s ‘Hit Me with Your Best Shot’, to the ultra- encouraging anthem ‘I’m A Survivor’ from Destiny’s Child.
