Art New York announced that Gary Lichtenstein Editions will present a one-man show entitled “Multiple Layers” from artist Cey Adams where 30% of the proceeds will be donated to the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
The gallery will dedicate their entire booth to the presentation of more than two dozen new and existing works from Adams, including a special piece titled Diving into Hampton Water which is valued at $10,000 and of which 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
The art fair returns with its fourth edition on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Pier 94 in Manhattan.
The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded by multi-award-winning singer and 2018 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Jon Bon Jovi, that helps to eradicate hunger and homelessness in the United States.
Cey Adams emerged from the downtown graffiti movement and his contemporaries include Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. Adams was the Founding Creative Director of Def Jam Recordings and it was there that he co-founded Drawing Board, the label’s in-house visual design firm, where he went on to create visual identities, album covers, logos, and campaigns for Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Notorious B.I.G., Maroon 5, and Jay-Z.
“We are so thankful to Cey Adams and Gary Lichtenstein Editions for their generosity in support of the Soul Foundation. It will help us continue our commitment to the communities we serve” said Dorothea Bongiovi. “Art New York is a wonderful fair with such a wide selection of work, and we have always enjoyed our time visiting this Fair as well as Art Miami in December. We are very happy to have them help shine a light on the work we are doing.”
