Chase Edwards Contemporary in Bridgehampton held an artist reception for Patti Grabel to celebrate her new exhibition Causing a Stir. The afternoon reception, which was sponsored by Moët & Chandon, welcomed more than 150 guests, including artist Randall Rosenthal and North Haven Village Mayor Jeff Sander.

Guests took a first look at Grabel’s new photographic works printed on paper and glass depicting wooden spoons. The collection combines Grabel’s passion for art-making, food and entertaining, to reveal themes that touch upon nourishment, sensuality, creative expression, aspirations and the liberating act of taking chances.

Each of Grabel’s new works serves as a page in her personal storybook. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition benefits City Harvest.

Those who attended the reception were also invited to respond to a question in a book created by Grabel to accompany the exhibition: how will you fill your spoon today?

Causing a Stir is on view through August 4th at Chase Edwards Contemporary (2462 Main Street, Bridgehampton, New York 11932)
