Actor and comedian, Eddie Griffin, celebrated his 50th birthday with a surprise party at El Dorado Cantina in Las Vegas with family and friends including comedian George Lopez, Richard Murphy and MJ The Legend, and Jalles Franca.
Griffin was blindfolded and escorted to a private dining room within the restaurant by his wife, Ko Griffin, where he was greeted by friends and relatives with a boisterous, “Surprise!” Griffin and guests enjoyed an array of signature appetizers an assortment of the cantina’s specialty entrees, served family-style, provided by Executive Chef Paco Cortes.
Live music played throughout the night by guest performer, Sahara Prade, who sang a playlist of Griffin’s favorite songs, accompanied by keyboardist, Ricky Dread. Griffin also took the mic throughout the night to sing along to some of his favorite tunes.
Towards the end of the evening, Griffin gave a heartfelt speech, thanking his friends and family who attended the party. “To my children and family here, I couldn’t do it without you.”
