Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, in the heart of Jaffa Israel, is the Ilana Goor Museum. The historic building is filled with Ilana’s hand made one-of-a-kind sculptures, jewelry, furniture, kitchenware, home goods and more. Ilana has spent her entire life appropriating ordinary objects into works of art.
Just south of the popular tourist destination, Tel Aviv, the museum has over 500 works, either made by Ilana or collected by her while travelling in Israel and aboard. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, video art, ethnic art, antiques, and drawings as well as design items she’s handpicked. Among the collection are works by international artists such as Diego Giacometti, Olga Wolniak, Henry Moore, and Joseph Albers.
Ilana also showcases contemporary works by young Israeli artists such as Lior Shtainer, Sigal Avni and Roi Pajursky alongside established artists such as Menashe Kadishman, Ya’acov Dorchin and Uri Lifshitz.
The rooftop garden is filled with artwork and has spectacular views of the city.
Sounds like a plan.
