El Museo Del Barrio Chair Maria Eugenia and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio celebrate El Museo Del Barrio’s 50th Anniverary Gala at NYC’s iconic Plaza Hotel.
Every year, this spectacular event brings together luminaries from the worlds of fashion, entertainment, business, society, politics and the arts in order to raise crucial operating funds for the museum.
Honorees this year included philanthropist and art collector Ella Fontanals-Cisneros, artist Raphael Montañez Ortiz, and entrepreneur, real estate developer, art collector, and philanthropist Craig Robins.
Founded by a coalition of of Puerto Rican educators, artists, and activists, El Museo del Barrio is the nation’s leading Latino/Latinx and Latin American cultural institution. The Museum welcomes all and is located at 1230 Fifth Ave at 104th Street in New York City.
