Filmmaker Ava DuVernay, and cast members Aunjanue Ellis, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and Niecy Nash celebrate their latest project ‘When They See Us’ at a screening in Los Angeles.
The four-part Netflix series When They See Us, is based on events of the 1989 Central Park jogger case and explores the lives of the five suspects who were prosecuted on charges related to the sexual assault of a female victim, and of their families.
The series earned 16 Emmys, and is tied for the 2nd most Emmy acting nominated limited series ever.
