New York’s Museum of Arts and Design hosts MAD About Jewelry Virtual Trunk Shows, Thursday’s on Zoom. Jewelry enthusiasts and fashionistas will see a behind-the-scenes look at what artists are working on now; learn about their craftsmanship, processes and inspirations; and – best of all – you can shop the pieces you love! The designers will send them right to you, with proceeds directly benefiting the artists and the Museum’s educational programming.
May 28, 2020 –LOOT – MAD’s contemporary artisan jewelry sale hosted by curator Bryna Pomp-Featuring leather jewelry designer Tania Clarke Hall (London) and gold crochet artist Shenhav Russo (Kfar Saba, Israel)
June 4 – RE:FINE – MAD’s unique fine jewelry sale hosted by curator Franci Sagar – Featuring fine jewelers; second generation Anthony Lent (New York) and third generation Ana Swarup (Los Angeles)
June 11 – LOOT – MAD’s contemporary artisan jewelry sale hosted by curator Bryna Pomp – Featuring antique cameo artist Anna Porcu (Tuscany) and glass jewelry designer Jed Green (London).
MAD is proud to support and champion the jewelry artist community with annual exhibitions and sales including LOOT and RE:FINE. Especially now, when brick and mortar stores are closed, MAD has an obligation to help artists gain visibility and showcase their work.
