LongHouse Reserve, the sprawling 16-acre nature reserve and sculpture garden in East Hampton, warmly welcomes back Artistic Director Emerita of the Opera Orchestra of New York Eve Queler for Opera Al Fresco; an operatic concert beneath the summer sky on Saturday, August 7th 2021 at 6pm. Queler brings her world-class expertise and talents to the grounds of LongHouse to celebrate the lives of artist Ingeborg Ten Haeff (1915 – 2011) and LongHouse Reserve Founder Jack Lenor Larsen (1927 – 2020).
Queler will be joined at the piano by two colleagues, tenor Matthew White, and soprano Teresa Castillo. Pieces by Donizetti, Puccini, Verdi, Gounod, and Mascagni will be performed.
The evening kicks off with a cocktail reception at 6:00 PM, followed by the operatic benefit concert under the stars at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $75 for members, $100 for the general public, and can be purchased at www.LongHouse.org.
This performance was made possible through the generosity of John Githens.
