George Clooney’s gorgeous model/actress Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis will appear in five episodes of the TNT series Leverage, starring 80’s hot shot actor, Timothy Hutton. Hutton, who was the youngest actor to ever win the Academy Award, took it home for his unforgettable role in ‘Ordinary People’ opposite TV icon Mary Tyler Moore. In Leverage, he leads a team of professional thieves, computer experts and con artists who use their skills to right corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on common citizens. According to TNT, season three which started last night, has Timothy contending with a shadowy intelligence agent known only as “The Italian,” played by Elisabetta, who blackmails him into helping bring down a financier. It will be interesting to see if Clooney’s gal, who has appeared in several TV shows, series and films in Italy, can make the transition to American actress. We know she’s gorgeous but does she have the skills, we’ll see.
