‘Eat Pray Love’ is the story of a woman who, after meeting a spiritual guru (medicine man) during a yoga trip to Bali, realizes she’s unhappy with her NYC married life and proceeds to turn her life around and travel the world in search of her true self. She eats in Italy, prays in India and finds love in Bali. The book authored by Elizabeth Gilbert has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for over 150 weeks and is one of the most eagerly awaited summer releases. Once again, we get to live vicariously through the luminous Julia Roberts, who gets to eat and savor life in Italy, pursue spiritual peace and make long lasting fiends in India, and find balance in the form of love in Bali (Indonesia). Sounds like a winning formula to me. Plus, James Franco, Oscar winner Javier Bardem and Billy Crudup play her love interests and are more than easy on the eyes. Sony’s ‘Eat Pray Love’ which is produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company, opens today.
