Entourage’s Vinnie Chase, or better known in real life as Adrian Grenier, decided to do a documentary on the paparazzi and its effect on celebrity culture after a chance encounter with 14 year old kid paparazzo, Austin Visschedyk. So he picked up the phone and called his friends at HBO Documentary Films who are known for their compelling array of diverse, timely and thought-provoking films, and after premiering at Sundance, they bought it and are bringing it to the small screen. Being that the subject of celebrity and paparazzi is a hot subject these days, I mean even Lady Gaga has a hit tune “Paparazzi,” it’s no surprise they let the Entourage star, who’s no stranger to the cameras, run around and film little boy shutterbug. The little shutterbug has been running around Hollywood for the last few years (sometimes with father in tow) chasing down celebs trying to get the ‘money shot.’ The result is ‘Teenage Paparazzo’ directed by Adrian Grenier, and debuts on HBO September 27.
