London based art consultant Carrie Lazarus of Carrie Scott Represents, and Turnbull’s James Fayed hosted an art opening last week at The Sixth Floor, a new gallery space on top of the Turnbull & Asser 57th Street store.
Turnbull & Asser is a very elegant/high-end gentleman’s shirt maker and tailor for those that don’t know.
The evening was the first US solo exhibition of the work of photographer Walter Hugo.
Titled “Implicit: Explicit,” the exhibition also marks the beginning of a joint venture between Turnbull & Asser and Carrie Scott Representatives, a contemporary art program with three exhibitions this year.
It seemed like a perfect fit for Walter Hugo’s first New York exhibition, the artist having recently been commissioned for James Fayed’s portrait.
The Sixth Floor, the name of the gallery space, will be open to the public Tuesday through Fridays 11:00 till 5:50.
