It wasn’t the typical screams and shouts within NYC’s Lenox Hill Hospital the other morning.
Hundreds of nurses went haywire when Kelly Ripa‘s dreamboat hubby Mark Consuelos stopped by to give away Westin Weekend vacations to those in need of a little R&R, including those who clocked more than 17,000 hours of overtime during Super-storm Sandy.
Mark expressed heart-felt gratitude to the nurses, recalling the amount of time he and his family have spent in emergency rooms and saying, “You’re the ones who tell us it will be ok, and it always is.”
It was all part of the launch of Westin’s new “Make Monday Better” campaign, which is tackling the Monday blues with weekend programming at Westin Hotels around the world. This event was the first of three, month-long surprise gifting events designed to bring the campaign’s mantra to life by giving back to deserving groups across the country.
