Recently, just days before their Grammy appearance, legendary rockers Bono and the Edge of U2 broke out of their residency at The Sphere to party with their crew at Las Vegas’ legendary tiki bar The Golden Tiki.
The rockers checked out the bar in the wee hours on a recommendation from staffers at the Sphere, taking in some classic tiki drinks, margaritas, Dole whip, and the bar’s famous “sticky” chicken fingers and coconut shrimp.
Sightings like this are a relative rarity for U2–the band have not been seen at very many places around town during their residency!
Open since 2015, The Golden Tiki is famous as the home for the World’s Largest Mai Tai and for its many shrunken heads presented to Vegas icons and celebrities including rockers like Sammy Hagar,Sebastian Bach, Motley Crue’s Vince Neil, and Pantera’s Vinnie Paul, Playboy Playmate Claire Sinclair, comedians Pauly Shore Louie Anderson, Tape Face, Rich Little Piff the Magic Dragon and Carrot Top, actors Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul, UFC legend Randy Couture, the late celebrity journalist Robin Leach and dozens more.
