The 62nd Viennese Opera Ball’s co-chairs Silvia Frieser and Michael Pecnik and Executive Committee member Laine Siklos hosted a Private Champagne Reception at The Penn Club to celebrate the formation of the ball that will be held on February 10 at the Waldorf Astoria under the auspices of the U.S. Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
The oldest white tie charity gala in New York, this year the Ball will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Austria’s unofficial national anthem, Johann Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz.
Guests will travel from around the world to attend the prestigious event, and dance the waltz in the Grand Ballroom, with a hope of seeing a white horse drawn carriage.

It was a star-studded 15th Anniversary for the Jazz Foundation of America‘sannual ‘A Great Night in Harlem’ gala at the Apollo Theater.
The night’s performers included John Mayer, Steve Jordan, Joe Morton, Dr. John and Bruce Willis, with a special tribute to Dr. John and McCoy Tyner.
The Jazz Foundation works to keep jazz and blues alive by helping musicians who have played with everyone from Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday to Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones, and they assist with more than 5000 cases a year nationwide.

This couple really live to give back; their wedding registry was strictly donations which will be used to build a new educational center for underprivileged children, and they did not accepting any gifts. Ernesto’s Education Model Towns builds entire communities and education centers from the ground up in the most impoverished areas in Latin America, offering the locals a home and a safe community.
Ernesto and his life-changing organization also donates schools, security, after school programs and sports development programs, nutritional programs and clean water, as well as promoting by entrepreneurship opportunities to the locals. Ashley and Ernesto, co-founders of Snap2Live, have also partnered with the United Nations as spokespeople for road safety, in order to help address the number one killer of youth in the world.
