Jennifer Aniston’s press tour has begun for her new film ‘The Switch’ and following her appearance on Leno, she hit up pal Chelsea, on Chelsea Lately for some girl talk and then the Sunset Tower to get her drink on, Popsugar.com reported. Dramatic comedy ‘The Switch,’ is the story of a 40 year old woman who turns to a turkey baster to become pregnant. Good pal Jason Bateman co- stars along with the wild and enjoyable Juliette Lewis who I’m sure Aniston had fun with discussing each of their past dalliances with ex-Brad Pitt. Aniston, who works out like a fiend and takes amazing care of herself has never looked better. Besides having a new perfume out, she and Bateman already have another comedy in the works called ‘Horrible Bosses’ along with Oscar great, Kevin Spacey. ‘The Switch,’ which looks like a blast, opens Friday, August 20th.

‘Weeds’ Returns and This Buds for You
The new season of Showtime’s ‘Weeds,’ blows into town August 16th and it promises to do a bong, I mean bang up job. Mary Louise Parker plays the smokin’ hot, weed selling mother of the Botwin clan, who will do anything to support and protect her family and when I say anything, I mean anything. Like for example, this season they are on the run from the Mexican Mafia and head north under the name Newman and get jobs at a hotel. Everyone’s back, plus new guest stars include Richard Dreyfuss and Linda Hamilton. And returning from last season are the incredible Alanis Morissette and Hollywood/New York acting royalty, Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Gossip Gal reported last week that Amy Winehouse needed to make a new record faster than Mel Gibson needed to shush up. Well, someone must have been listening because the word on the street is that the talented Lady Gaga will be recording with the talented British wild child sometime in September. They will be working on Winehouse’s follow up record to her Grammy winning 2006 album ‘Back to Black,’ which went through the roof. Gaga and Winehouse together is just what the doctor ordered. Now all we need is for the doctor to keep Mel quiet.

Looks like Snooki, the breakout star of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ may end up on sister channel VH1’s ‘Celebrity Rehab’ sooner than expected. Snookie or Snooks, who loves to party and pick up guidos, is on the verge of writing her own ticket in Hollywood, but the only ticket it looks she is getting is one for disorderly conduct. The petite guidette was allegedly drunk as a skunk and arrested on the shore and received a summons with a future court date. Snookala, listen up. Rapper- turned- Calvin Klein underwear model- turned- Oscar nominated movie star- turned Hollywood mogul, Mark Wahlberg received his own star on Hollywood’s Walk of fame yesterday. Wahlberg’s wife, model turned- stay at home mom Rhea Durham was there along with their four kids. Wahlberg, who had a troubled beginning, has completely turned his life around and has become the poster boy for the perfect family man. Mark’s hit movies include Boogie Nights, The Perfect Storm, Planet of the Apes, The Italian Job, and The Departed. His new Sony movie starring alongside Will Ferrell ‘The Other Guys,’ opens next weekend.
Construction Magnate Buys Miramax
Walt Disney Co. has agreed to sell the once owned Weinstein Bros. film house, Miramax to an investor group led by construction magnate Ron Tutor and Colony Capital for $660 million. Variety reported late last night that it was a done deal as long as the Tutor-Colony group comes up with the $40 million non-refundable advance payment to secure future financing. The Weinstein Brothers who were hoping to come through with the financing and regain the company that they sold away, are known to still have some sequel and remake rights to some Miramax titles. The library which has over 700 titles, includes “Shakespeare in Love,” No Country for Old Men,” ”Chicago,” Pulp Fiction” and the “Scream” franchise.
